The Wedding Cake

The cake was made by Frances Grace, a wonderful friend I made in my salon days. The top and bottom layers are chocolate (Jenni's favorite) and the middle layer is yellow. The buttercream frosting is unsmoothed to give it a rustic, beach-feel, and the white-chocolate seashells are all hand-made by Frances. She and her husband George delivered it right to the dining room table wedding-day morning where Frances and Jenni applied the finishing touch--fresh rose petals to match the wedding flowers. And the cake was delicious! Thank you Frances!
